Show Notes

Oral sex is a common act. According to the CDC, 85% of adults ages 18-44 and 44% of teenagers ages 15-18 reported having had oral sex at least once with their partner. There are risks of getting sexually transmitted infections when engaging in oral sex. It is an even greater risk without using a condom or dental dam barrier.

This episode's Shy Topic addresses commonalities of oral sex. It explores the signs, symptoms, and treatment of common STIs encountered when performing the activity. Methods to reduce transmission are introduced- encouraging listeners to shy away from overlooking their concerns and start engaging their partners in sexual wellness conversations and sexual wellness health screenings together.
